Rana Daggubati Returns to Screen with Vettaiyan

Rana Daggubati, hailing from the reputed Daggubati family, began his film career in production before making his acting debut with the film Leader. Unlike many actors, Rana’s career took an interesting turn as he chose distinct roles. Despite trying out love stories and commercial films in early stages, his career took a new direction when he started starring in pivotal roles in star-studded projects.

Rana also gained fame as an antagonist in the Baahubali franchise, famously known as Bhallaladeva. His portrayal won the hearts of audiences and fans alike during the face-off with Prabhas in the film.

Even after gaining recognition for his work in the Baahubali series, the actor continued to experiment with roles in films like Aranya and Virata Parvam. He also featured in pivotal roles in NTR Kathanayakudu, NTR Mahanayakudu, Housefull 4 etc.

It has been a while since Rana appeared on screen, with his last film being 1945, released in 2022. Now, after a two-year gap, he is returning to the screens with a pivotal role in Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. The first look was unveiled today.

Vettaiyan will also feature stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrior, Aparna Balamurali, and Ritika Singh. The film is slated to hit the screens on October 10th, with its pre-release event scheduled for September 20th at Jawaharlal Nehru Indore Stadium, Chennai, where the first preview of the film will also be unveiled.

Rana, who tasted success through his production collaboration with 35 – Chinna Katha Kadu, will now return to the screen as an actor after a two-year hiatus.
