Abhai Naveen, initially known for his work on YouTube, gained recognition through his role in the successful film Pelli Choopulu, which marked Vijay Deverakonda’s debut hit. Transitioning from acting to directing, Abhai Naveen ventured into filmmaking with Ramanna Youth, a comedy centered around village politics despite being produced on a modest budget. Ramanna Youth was launched on May 18, 2023. Unfortunately, it did not secure any OTT platform for distribution. However, after a considerable period, ETV Win has stepped up to acquire the digital rights to the movie. Recently, ETV Win revealed that Ramanna Youth will be available for streaming starting from May 30, 2024, on their platform.
Aneel Jela, Vishnu, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Srikanth Iyengar assume significant roles in the movie, which Rajini financially supported through Firefly Arts. Ramanna Youth revolves around a circle of friends who possess a strong passion for politics. Among them, Abhai Naveen aspires to become a youth leader and greatly admires Mama, who is a local politician. The film’s central plot explores the consequences when Naveen is disregarded by the politician, leading to the shattering of his dreams. Additionally, Vishnu Oi, Anil Geela, Amulya Reddy, Thagubothu Ramesh, Srikanth Iyengar, Jabardasth Rohini, Jagan Yogiraj, Bunny Abiraan, Anji Valguman, Manoj Muthyam, Yadama Raju, Vidyasagar Karampuri, Venu Polsani, Vishvendar Reddy, Anand Chakrapani, Dhanalakshmi, and Mallesh Balsat also play pivotal roles in the film.
The movie, with editing done by Rupak Ronaldson and Naveen, showcases sound design by Nagarjuna Thallapalli, costumes by Ashvanth Byri and K Prathibha Reddy, and production design by Lakshmi Sindhuja. Those who enjoy small-town political dramas can catch this film on ETV Win.
