Raghu Thatha is the latest period comedy drama starring National Award-winner actress Keerthy Suresh as the lead. The film was released in theaters on this Independence Day. Though a section of reviewers praised the film, it went unnoticed and ended up as a failure at the box office. The latest news is that the film has been released on OTT.
The promos of Raghu Thatha showing Keerthy Suresh in funny situations as a strong and independent girl captured audiences’ attention, but when it was released in theaters, the film could not impress everyone. The film is now available for streaming on ZEE5 in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages. Suman Kumar made his debut as a director with Raghu Thatha, and the interesting thing is the director has worked as a close associate of Raj and DK for the most popular web series, The Family Man.
Raghu Thatha was only released in Tamil, and the Telugu version was not released in theaters because of the heavy competition at the ticket windows. It is widely known that the August month of 2024 had many releases, and the Telugu industry had two major releases, Mr. Bachchan and Double Ismart, along with Chiyaan Vikram’s Thangalaan’s Telugu-dubbed version. Produced by Hombale Films, Raghu Thatha tells the story of a woman named Kayalvizhi who does not want to give bank exams as they demand she learn Hindi. MS Bhaskar, Ravindra Vijay, Devasarshini, Jayakumar, Rajeev Ravindranathan, Anandsami, Rajesh Balachandran, and others in crucial roles.
