It is widely known that the PVR (Priya Village Roadshow) chain is the biggest multiplex chain in India. A few months ago, another Multiplex Chain Inox gor merged into PVR, and after that, PVR Inox introduced “PVR Passport” for the viewers. It is nothing but a monthly pass with which the audiences can watch four movies for free in one month. The amount for Pass is different for each state or region in India. The PVR passport cost in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is Rs 350 per month. So by paying 350 rupees, a viewer can watch four films in one month.
Though this passport was applicable on only weekdays (Monday to Thursday), the move from PVR was welcomed by many movielovers as they would have the luxury of watching movies at a much lesser price. However, in recent days, PVR is making too many changes for the passport. Kalki 2898 AD, a big Pan Indian movie, was released on Thursday. So, many filmgoers used the pass to book the tickets, and this made PVR change its policy. Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram was also released on Thursday, and there was confusion regarding the film’s bookings in PVR chains. Movies like Stree 2, Deadpool and Wolverine, Vedaa, and Double iSmart were exempted from the passport.
Also, PVR made the upcoming big films like GOAT, Devara, Joker: Folie A Deux, Kanguva, Vettaiyan, Venom: The Last Dance, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Singham Again, Pushpa: The Rule, Game Changer, Mufasa, Baby John, and Sitare Zameen Par unavailable for the Passport users. This has disappointed audiences, and they are now feeling that the PVR Passport is of no use as it does not allow to book tickets for the movies that they are eagerly waiting to watch on big screens. Many of the viewers feel like PVR is cheating them by changing the rules and regulations of Passport very often.
