Actor Raj Tharun was in the news for all the wrong reasons a few days ago. His ex-girlfriend, Lavanya filed a case against him and claimed that he had cheated on her. Raj Tharun gave his clarification about the entire issue on the first day itself, but still, he had to face many baseless rumors. Amidst this fuss, Raj Tharun delivered a film called Purushothamudu, which had a good buzz because of the controversy.
Purushothamudu was released in theaters worldwide on July 26, 2024, and became a big failure at the box office. Aha Video, the Telugu OTT Platform, has bagged the digital rights of the film, and it will be made accessible to stream from August 29, 2024. Though the film failed at the theaters, the reports suggest they had a profitable deal with Aha. It took a bit of time for the producers to crack the OTT deal. Purushothamudu was trolled as the audiences felt it was a poor version of Srimanthudu.
The story of Purushothamudu was much similar to Srimanthudu. Apart from Raj Tharun, the film stars Hasini Sudheer, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma, Ramya Krishna, and Brahmanandam in crucial roles. Ram Bhimana directed the film which was produced by Dr. Ramesh Tejawat and Prakash Tejawat.
