It is widely known that Malayalam Star Prithviraj Sukumaran is currently regarded as one of the finest actors in the nation. He has also proven his mettle at the box office, thanks to the success of his recent films, Salaar and Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life. His performances in both movies were exceptional, earning praise from both viewers and critics. However, his portrayal as a villain in his latest film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, left much to be desired.
When the audience learned that Prithviraj was playing a villain role in a Bollywood movie, everyone expected there would be something special about the character or movie. Sadly, BMCM turned out to be a senseless action film with no proper storyline. Playing the role of a rogue scientist, Prithviraj delivered one of the weakest performances of his career. The responsibility for this disappointment lies with director Ali Abbas Zafar, who failed to provide a well-written character for Prithviraj, thus squandering his talent and resulting in an over-the-top performance.
Before the film’s release, Prithviraj had expressed great enthusiasm for the script, claiming it was one of the best roles he had ever been offered. Unfortunately, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has proven to be a colossal failure at the box office and is on track to become one of the biggest flops of the Eid season. Previously, Prithviraj Sukumaran acted in two Hindi films, Aiyya and Aurangzeb. Prithviraj Sukumaran had appeared previously in Hindi films like Aiyya with Rani Mukerjee and Aurangzeb with Rishi Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. While Aiyya was controversial and became a flop at the box office, Aurangzeb was a decent success.
