After the wild card entries, Bigg Boss Season 8 started off on an entertaining note but quickly shifted to the nominations round. Interestingly, the wild card entrants were given the chance to nominate the original contestants of the season based on their gameplay, which they had watched prior to joining. The first to make her move was Hari Teja, and right from the start, her nominations seemed illogical.
Hari Teja nominated Yashmi and Prithvi, accusing them of groupism. However, she hesitated to explicitly reveal the details behind her claim. She further added that both were playing with their close-knit circle, ignoring other contestants. In Yashmi’s case, Hari Teja pointed out a situation where Yashmi supported Manikanta when food was offered to Nikhil instead of Manikanta. Hari Teja also accused Yashmi of holding grudges against Manikanta, referencing revenge nominations.
Prithvi, on the other hand, defended himself well, explaining that his group was small, so naturally, he discussed matters with Yashmi and Nikhil more often. Since Manikanta was not a team player and Aditya OM was absorbed in his own zone, the spotlight fell on the trio. Hari Teja’s reasons for nominating Prithvi, based on this, appeared quite weak.
Yashmi also made a strong defense, explaining her decision to support Nikhil over Manikanta. Despite her differences with Manikanta, she consistently consoled him when he was feeling low. However, the support wasn’t reciprocated. Yashmi rightfully pointed out that nominations are a result of personal vibes and disagreements with gameplay, and she had been clear about her reasons from the start. She wasn’t nominating Manikanta randomly but for valid reasons. It was puzzling that, despite watching the game, Hari Teja still chose to support Manikanta and turned against Yashmi. This suggested that Hari Teja’s nominations were not only illogical but might have been a strategic move to target strong contestants.
