After graduation, he intends to relocate to the U.K., yet his VISA application faces rejection. Unwilling to remain in his hometown, Sachin turns to his friend Amul Davis for assistance. Amul Davis, who is preparing for GATE coaching in Hyderabad, decides to bring Sachin along. At a wedding, Sachin encounters Reenu and is immediately smitten by her. The rest of the story is about how Sachin and Reenu grow in their relationship.
Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju did a fantastic job as the lead pair. They both looked very well and carried their characters without any issues. Sangeeth Prathap and Shyam Mohan were also perfect and provided entertainment throughout the film. Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Athlaf Salim, and others were okay.
The movie maintains a cheerful, light-hearted, and heartwarming atmosphere from start to finish. Girish A.D. skillfully incorporates wholesome and contextually relevant humor. Several scenes in the film will have the audience bursting into laughter. What sets it apart is that the romantic plotline remains prominent alongside the comedic elements. The director adeptly merges the romantic and funny aspects, making Premalu a delightful viewing experience. Both halves of the film carry the same mood and maintain an entertaining tempo. The second half gets dramatic in a few places, but the climax is hilarious.
In addition to the natural performances, soulful music, and great humor, Hyderabad City plays a crucial role in this charming romantic comedy. Including Hyderabad as an important aspect brings a sense of novelty to the storyline. The film extensively showcases the splendor of the city. Though the film looks like a regular rom-com in the outlook, the director of the film, Girish A.D., took a lot of care concerning the characterizations of the lead roles. There is no artificiality in any of the proceedings or behavior of Sachin and Reenu because their journey is depicted so well without taking sides with anyone.
The film’s overall story might not appear as great to some audiences who want strong story/scenes. The initial portions of Sachin’s hometown look ordinary. Also, Reenu’s realization of her love for Sachin could have been shown much more strongly.
