With Duvvada Jagannatham, Pooja Hegde achieved star status as a heroine. She went on to work with top stars like Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Vijay, NTR, Hrithik Roshan, etc. However, with continuous failures, the offers started to decrease for the actresses, and at the same time, young actresses grabbed significant opportunities.

It is widely known that Pooja Hegde was the lead heroine in Guntur Kaaram, and she took part in the shooting for a few days but was replaced by the sensational young actress Sree Leela.
Pooja was also considered to play the female lead role in Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Raviteja’s Mr Bachchan. The shooting of PSPK’s film is currently put on hold, and Bagya Sri replaced her in Mr Bachchan. She was also the lead actress for Sai Dharam Tej – Sampath Nandi’s Ganjaa Shankar, but the latest news is the film has been shelved because of budget issues.
