Pekamedalu, the small-budget film that was released in theaters in July, received a good response from audiences and critics. Pekamedalu tells the story of Lakshman, a B Tech graduate who wants to earn quick money and is not interested in doing a job as per his educational qualification. His wife Varalakshmi wants to have a quality life that will help the upbringing of their kid, but Lakshman is always chasing street smart techniques to earn money and ends up losing every time. He meets Swetha, an NRI married woman, and befriends and woos her into a relationship. How Laksman’s selfish plans went ahead and how Varalakshmi was able to safeguard her son’s future is what forms the rest of the story.
Starring Vinoth Kishn and Anoosha Krishna in the lead roles, Pekamedalu is directed by Neelagiri Mamilla. On July 19, 2024, the film was released in theaters, and despite getting good reviews, it could not become a big hit because of the low-key release and less exposure.
