Tying ropes to their hands, Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of former chief minister and TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, their son and TDP general secretary, Lokesh and his wife, Mrs Bharhmani along with other party leaders on Sunday staged a novel protest against the illegal arrest and remand of Chandrababu Naidu.
For five minutes, from 7 pm to 7.05 pm, they actively participated in the protest programme. The TDP has given the call to the party leaders and activists to stage protests by tying their hands with ropes to condemn the illegal arrest of Chandrababu.
Bhuvaneswari participated in the protest programme along with women activists at the Vidyanagar campsite in Rajamahendravaram while Lokesh and Mrs Brahmani took part in the programme at their residence in Hyderabad. Raising slogans like ‘I am with Babu’ and ‘How long law fetters to justice’ the TDP leaders and activists took part in the protests.
Former ministers, China Rajappa and Butchaih Chowadary participate along with Bhuvaneswari in Rajamahendravaram. At their residence in Hyderabad, Lokesh and Mrs Brahmani said that Chandrababu was illegally arrested though no evidence is available in the Skill Development project case.
Suspecting a threat to the life of Chandrababu inside the jail, Lokesh said that the State Government is acting in the most dubious way though the health condition of Chandrababu is not satisfactory
