Niranjan Reddy’s Struggle: ‘Hanuman’ Release Woes

Niranjan Reddy, the producer of the highly anticipated film “Hanuman,” slated for release on January 12th, 2024, has expressed his disappointment with the media regarding theatre allotments. In a recent statement, he conveyed that despite requesting a reasonable share of screens, they have faced challenges in securing slots in 76 single screens. Reddy emphasizes that the ultimate judgment lies with the audience, stating, “They may deny us theatres now, but people will decide the end result and long run!”

Furthermore, Reddy pointed out that merely spending ₹150 crore on a film does not automatically categorize it as a big movie. He retorts that the true measure of success is not determined by budget alone. Reddy questions, “What is the biggest movie? ₹150 crores with a big star? Or the movie that I made with ₹70 crores that generated so much buzz?”

Reddy also shed light on the interest from single-screen owners to screen “Hanuman.” Despite facing hurdles, he emphasizes that many owners are showing willingness to collaborate.
