Maharaja, the recent blockbuster starring Vijay Sethupathi stunned everyone by achieving massive success at the box office. Nithilan Saminathan, director, received appreciation for his work. According to the latest reports, the director is preparing for his next project, which would be a female-driven film. Maharaja, starring Vijay Sethupathi, became one of the highest-grossing films of 2024, with the collections exceeding Rs 100 crore.
The film’s success also provided a big relief to Vijay, Sethupathi as he was having successive failures after Kaathuvakula Rendu Kaadhal. Maharaja tells the story of a man who works as a barber who files a police complaint that his dustbin has been stolen. The police are unaware of the actual intentions of Maharaja behind the complaint. A section of audiences criticized the film for presenting the pivotal crime part without sensitivity. However, most audiences commended the film’s screenplay, and action episodes along with mind-numbing climax.
According to Kollywood inside reports, Nithilan had approached Nayanthara for a new film. Interestingly, this female-oriented flick is said to be titled as Maharani. However, an official confirmation is still pending about the film and its title. Let’s hope that this exciting piece of information turns out to be true.
