TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was just a junior artist at the TDP-Jana Sena joint meeting held at Tadepalligudem on Wednesday evening, said Minister for BC welfare and information and public relations, Chelluboyina Srinivasa Venugopala Krishna.
Speaking to media persons, the minister said that the meeting had failed to highlight the policies of the TDP and Jana Sena. He said that the two parties have dedicated their time to criticize Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy rather than what they want to communicate to the people.
The Minister said that the two parties have failed to give their points to the people and tell them what they would go if voted to power. They have dedicated most part of their speeches to criticse the chief minister, he said.
Chandrababu Naidu had anchored the meeting as a junior artist and would remain a junior artist in politics after the 2024 general election, the Minister said. He sought to advise Chandrababu Naidu to continue to host such meetings after the elections as that would bring him good revenue.
The minister took Jana Sena to task and said that the party lacked clear direction. Pawan Kalyan was more interested in funding by the TDP rather than the elections, he said. He also alleged that Pawan Kalyan had confused the party cadre by going with the TDP. He is playing supplementary role to the TDP rather than heading a party, the Minister said.
The two parties did not give their agenda to the people, he said adding that their agenda was only to criticize the chief minister. What message that the TDP and Jana Sena have tried to give from the meeting was just abusing the chief minister and nothing else, the Minister said.
He made an appeal to the people, particularly the educated and intellectuals to choose between the development and welfare oriented chief minister and the graphic chief minister. He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had proved to be a leader who performed what he said. The government had implemented 99 per cent of its election promises, the minister said.
The minister further asked the people to vote for the YSR Congress if they wanted the welfare programmes to continue. He said that the TDP and Jana Sena would not give these schemes if they are voted to power.
