Naidu to be in jail for some more days

TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is to be in the jail for some more days or probably weeks, if things are to be taken into consideration.
Naidu was arrested in the skill development scam on September 9 at Nandyal and was produced in the ACB court in Vijayawada on September 10. On the same day, he was sent to the judicial remand to Rajamahendravaram central prison for 14 days.

The judicial remand is being extended by the ACB court from time to time. He had completed one month in the jail so far. It was for the first time that Naidu was under the threat of the law after all these years.

There are over 28 cases pending against him in Telangana high court for over the years as he was able to manage systems with his political influence. Time is not going to be the same for everyone all the time. He is passing through bad period these days and is finally serving the jail term.

He had deployed dozens of the Supreme Court advocates to argue his cases in the ACB court, AP high court and the Supreme Court. Haris Salve, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Siddharth Luthra are a few names who are arguing for Chandrababu Naidu.

These advocates are leading advocates and senior advocates in the Supreme Court and charge hefty amounts for each session. The TDP chief is thus spending huge amounts of money to come out of the cases.

Meanwhile, his son Nara Lokesh is facing several cases including the skill development scam and the Amaravati inner ring road alignment scam. He was directed by the AP high court to attend the investigation by the AP CID in its Mangalagiri office. Lokesh attended the investigation on Tuesday, and it is not known whether he cooperated with the CID officials or not.

He is also camping in Delhi to take up the case with the senior advocates of the supreme court. It is to be seen how far he would be successful in getting his father out of the cases and subsequently from the jail.
