Naidu threatening everyone, says Sajjala

YSR Congress general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Monday alleged that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was threatening everyone before the counting of votes. He further alleged that Naidu was trying to influence the officials. He cautioned the YSR Congress leaders and the counting agents of possible violence in the state during the counting. He wanted the party leaders and the agents, besides the cadre, to remain silent and not to get provoked by the opposition TDP.

Sajjala alleged that the TDP is planning for violence across the state. The party is in a desperate mood in this election, he said. The TDP leaders have worked with a do or die spirit and losing the battle would hurt them, he said. It is for this reason, the TDP leaders are trying to create a law-and-order problem in the state, he said.He also blamed the election commission for issuing different orders on postal ballots in Andhra Pradesh. He said that the election commission had issued orders stating that a simple signature would be enough to validate the postal ballot. The commission further said that there was no need for an official seal of the returning officer on the ballot paper, he said.

He further said that even if the supreme court quashes the YSR Congress petition, the wrong would not become right. He said that this rule is not followed in any other state in the country. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was influencing the election commission.Sajjala said that Chandrababu Naidu is an expert in influencing the institutions and individuals. After tie-up with the BJP, Chandrababu Naidu had reached out to the officials at the national level and did several things to influence them, he said.

He said that the TDP leaders have also influenced the exit poll survey institutions and got the exit polls in their favour. He wondered how Jana Sena which contested in 21 Assembly seats would get 7 percent of votes. He appealed to the rank and file of the YSR Congress to restrain from any celebration until the results are out. He also wanted the party counting agents not to leave the counting tables unless the counting is completed.
