Nagarjuna Strengthens Kollywood Ties with Pan-India Films

After scoring a hit with Naa Saami Ranga earlier this year, Nagarjuna has lined up a couple of exciting projects. He is set to play crucial roles in two major pan-India films, both of which feature leading actors from Kollywood. In Kubera, directed by Sekhar Kammula, Dhanush takes the lead, while Nagarjuna will also appear in Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Nagarjuna, a beloved actor across all regions, is often hailed as one of the main pillars of Tollywood, earning the title of “King.” His influence extends beyond Tollywood, as he has also made a mark in Bollywood with roles in films from the early stages of his career to his recent appearance in Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

Now, Nagarjuna is turning his attention towards Kollywood, aiming to strengthen his presence there by taking on pivotal roles in the pan-India projects Kubera and Coolie. Although he previously starred as the lead in the Tamil film Ratchagan (titled Rakshakudu in Telugu), which was considered one of the most expensive Indian films of its time, the movie didn’t connect well with audiences despite its blockbuster soundtrack. However, Nagarjuna maintained his connection with Kollywood through successful multi-language films like Payanam and Thozha.

After a brief hiatus, Nagarjuna is ready to reconnect with Kollywood through Kubera and Coolie. Given his established stardom in Tollywood and Bollywood, these projects are sure to delight his fans and reinforce his pan-Indian appeal.
