Super Star Mahesh Babu’s 49th birthday was celebrated greatly by his fans. They arranged a grand re-release of Mahesh’s classic Murari (2001), which was directed by Krishna Vamsi. Initially, when the news of Murari’s re-release received a mixed response from fans and industry circles. Everyone was doubtful about the performance of the film at the Box Office after 23 years.
However, the film took an excellent start when the advance bookings started. Murari gathered terrific numbers across Telugu states and overseas. Murari 4K collected a massive 5.3 crore on its opening day. In Nizam, one of the strongest areas for Mahesh, it gathered 2.9 crore. The film continued to perform well even on the second day and collected 7 Crores Gross at the worldwide box office in 2 days. According to the Ticket Booking App, Book My Show, Murari registered nearly 25k ticket sales in the last 24 hours.
Starring Mahesh Babu, Sonali Bindre as lead pair, Krishna Vamsi directed Murari. Released in 2001 February, and became a super hit at the Box Office. Mani Sharma composed the film’s music.
