Munjya set to cross 100 Crore Net

The horror-comedy movie Munjya continues to reign over the box office as it enters its fourth week in theaters. Starring Sharvari Wagh, Mona Singh, and Abhay Verma, the film has not only managed to collect over 1.5 crores on Sunday, bringing its total net collection in India to over 99 crores but it is also set to surpass the Rs 100 crore net in India today. Munjya’s steady performance at the box office has surprised one and all, making us all proud of its success.

Munjya has proven to be a surprise success, earning significant money despite facing competition from the recent release of Kalki 2898AD at the box office. The film, which premiered on June 7 with a budget of Rs 4 crore, managed to bring in Rs 35 crore in its initial week, followed by an additional Rs 36 crore in the second week and Rs 24 crore in the third week.

Munjya is a captivating fusion of horror and comedy, featuring an outstanding ensemble cast led by Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, Sharvari, and Sathyaraj. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Pune and the Konkan region in Maharashtra, the story unravels the havoc caused by Munjya, a mythical creature from Indian folklore. Verma’s portrayal of Bittu, a character struggling to cope with the creature’s disruptions, and Singh’s depiction of Pummy, a single mother with an overly protective nature, add layers of complexity and excitement to the narrative. This movie proudly becomes a part of Maddock Films’s horror comedy universe, which includes other successful films like Stree (2018), Roohi (2021), and Bhediya (2022).
