Aditya Sarpotdar, the filmmaker, recently delighted the audience with his horror comedy film Munjya. Starring Sharvari, Abhay Verma, and Mona Singh in the leading roles, the movie hit theaters on June 7, 2024. Thanks to a positive response, Munjya had a successful opening at the box office. It gathered 4 crores net on the first day and followed it up with a collection of over 7 crores on the second day. Interestingly, Munjya has also continued to perform well at the box office on the third day.
According to the box office trackers, Munjya, a film produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, experienced a minor increase in revenue on the third day. The movie, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, garnered over 8 crores net on its third day. Consequently, the cumulative collections of this horror comedy have crossed 20 crores. For those unfamiliar with it, Sharvari and Abhay Verma’s movie is a component of Maddock Films’ horror comedy universe. Following the achievements of Stree and Bhediya, the creators expanded the universe with Munjya. Upon the conclusion of the film’s theatrical release, it will be available on Disney+ Hotstar.
On June 6th, Varun Dhawan congratulated the Munjya team for their successful performance at the box office. Taking to Instagram, the actor posted a message urging viewers not to overlook the film’s post-credits scene featuring Sharvari and Abhay. The noteworthy aspect is that Varun made a special appearance as his character from Bhediya alongside Abhishek Banerjee.
