Aditya Sapotdar’s directorial Munjya was released in theaters on June 7th. The movie has been running successfully for 16 days and has been performing exceptionally well at the box office. On Saturday, June 22nd, Munjya gathered a net of 6 Crores at the Indian box office, surprising the trade circles. The film’s total earnings have reached Rs 80 crores up until now.

On June 22, the 16th day of its release, the movie garnered an estimated collection of Rs 6 Crore, as reported by Sacnilk. This marked a significant increase from the previous day’s earnings of Rs 3 crore. So far, the film has accumulated a total of Rs 80 Crore. On Saturday, June 22, Munjya had an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 27.09 percent. The morning shows had a 13.93 percent occupancy, while the afternoon shows had 27.82 percent. The evening shows recorded a 31.59 percent occupancy, and the night show had a 35.01 percent occupancy.

Munjya, directed by Aditya Sapotdar, is a horror comedy movie featuring Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, Sharvari Wagh, and Sathyaraj in prominent roles. The film was brought to life by the production house Maddock Films. The tale of Munjya, a well known character from Indian folklore and mythology, is recounted through the perspective of a creature dwelling in Pune and the Konkan region of Maharashtra. It revolves around Munjya, a legendary entity who disrupts Bittu’s life (portrayed by Abhay Verma from The Family Man series). Munjya has now become a part of Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe, alongside Stree (2018), Roohi (2021), and Bhediya (2022).
