Mirzapur, the web series on Prime Video is. regarded as one of the top-rated OTT shows in India. The series is popular for its intense performances, punch dialogues and cuss words, and steamy scenes as well. However, the most favorite character of Mirzapur is Munna Tripathi (Munna Bhaiya), which has been portrayed by Divyenndu. The actor got resounding applause for his performance and iconic dialogues.
However, interestingly, it turns out that Divyenndu was not the first choice for the role of Munna Tripathi. Amit Sial, the actor who acted in Inspector Ram Sharan Maurya in Mirzapur was approached for Munna’s character, which he refused. Amit said that he rejected the role of Munna Tripathi because he thought he would not have been convincing as Pankaj Tripathi’s son. Amit added that he was happy with the role he played in the show. Amit’s rejection was turned into a blessing for Divyenndu who performed exceptionally in the character. The dialogues of Munna Bhaiya became a part of pop culture among the viewers. Though the character is an antagonist, it was designed funnily which worked wonders for the film.
Meanwhile, the viewers are eagerly waiting for the fourth season of Mirzapur. Recently, Rasika Dugal, who appears as Beena Tripathi, hinted about the upcoming season of Mirzapur. The third season’s climax showed Kaleen Bhaiya (Akhandanand Tripathi) claiming his throne while Guddu and Golu escape the scene. The viewers cannot wait to see what happens next.
