After exposing a big drug mafia, Babu Mohan (Sri Simha) and Yesudas (Satya) join HE (High Emergency) team which deals with kidnap cases and other rescue operations. Though Babu and Yesu do their job properly and get a good name, they find the salary to be too less and start stealing some amount during their operations. However, they face the biggest shock of their life when someone involves them in a murder case. The rest of the story is how Babu and Yesu prove their innocence.
Sri Simha was decent and continued in the same mood from the original part. Satya has more screen time than the initial part and he completely uses the scope. He made many scenes hilarious with his perfect timing and body language. Faria Abdullah, and Rohini Molleti were fine while Ajay was okay. Vennela Kishore, Sunil, Raja Chembrolu ‘s roles were not that great.
Director Ritesh Rana followed all the elements from his first part of Mathu Vadalara’s first part and incorporated them in this part. The story follows the same route of lead characters doing minor crimes and getting involved in a big crime. The tributes to other films and heroes, social media references and continuing Ori Na Kodaka Serial worked well for the film. The first half smoothly goes with the flow trying nothing silly, but the second half gets stretched at a situation as the backstory behind the murder does not look as strong as it should have been. Still, the movie manages to entertain and end on a positive note.
As said above, Satya’s performance is the biggest plus point of the film. He even made some ordinary scenes in the second half laughable with his dialogues. The petty crimes Babu and Yesu commit and how they cover them up with funny logic is entertaining. Moreover, the unique background score adds value to the chaotic humor in the film.
Introducing various characters makes one exciting, but the director failed to use them properly. The Vennela Kishore episode is dragged, and the crucial backstory too looks ordinary with predictable twists. Sunil was wasted in an improper character.
