Manoj Bajpai and Arshad Warsi’s Diverse Perspectives on Animal

The recently released Bollywood blockbuster “Animal” has sparked varied reactions among industry veterans, with actors Arshad Warsi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Manoj Bajpayee offering their unique perspectives on the film during a candid roundtable discussion.

Arshad Warsi, known for his versatile roles, expressed his admiration for “Animal” and emphasized his appreciation for films as a form of complete entertainment. Comparing it to the male version of “Kill Bill,” Warsi stated, “All the serious actors may hate the film, but I love the film. My whole point of view is different. I look at films as complete entertainment, and when you go to the theatre, this is what you want to watch.”

Aparshakti Khurana, who garnered praise for his role in “Jubilee” last year, highlighted the film’s unique composition and engaging scenes. He shared, “For me, where the film wins is that it made me forget the moral compass after a couple of scenes. The composition in which scenes were written was so different than what we have seen before, and it almost seemed like a comedy film that has gags and doesn’t have a screenplay.”

Manoj Bajpayee echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the primary purpose of films to be engaging rather than serving as agents of societal change. He stated, “It has to be engaging. If it engages you, you completely forget about the morality, all your principles, and everything and you just watch a story and how the director wants you to watch it.”

“Animal,” which explores the intricate dynamics of a father-son relationship portrayed by Anil and Ranbir Kapoor, has emerged as the highest-grossing film in Ranbir Kapoor’s career. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film, spanning 3 hours and 21 minutes, has achieved significant success with a worldwide gross collection of ₹887.69 crores. With its compelling storyline and star-studded cast, “Animal” continues to captivate audiences across various languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. As the film thrives at the box office, the industry’s diverse reactions reflect the varied expectations and experiences of viewers.
