Manisharma, the name, needs no introduction for the Telugu Movie Lovers or audiences. Spanning over a thirty-year career, the legendary composer had worked for many movies and produced golden songs/albums. Also, Manisharma was known for scoring electrifying background scores.
In the period of 2000–2011, Manisharma faced a small slump, and he faded away from the glory. After a few years, he made a re-entry with Puri Jagannath and Ram Pothineni’s Ismart Shankar (2018). The film had all kinds of songs and they were massive hits. Everyone then thought that Manisharma will have a successful second phase in. his career.
Sadly, the hopes of audiences did not turn into truth. From a big film like Acharya to a small film like Bedurulanka, Mani worked for several films, but none of them had remarkable music or songs, with one odd song being useful here and there. When Ram and Puri reunited for Double Ismart, the sequel to iSmart Shankar, they also brought back Manisharma on board and audiences. hoped for an energetic album like its first part. However, Double Ismart’s content and music both failed to attract all audiences. Film lovers are feeling sad seeing a veteran music director, Manisharma, being unable to provide good music.
