Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Nora Fatehi, and Avinash Tiwary play the lead roles in Madgaon Express. Upendra Limaye and Chhaya Kadam contribute to the comedy-drama as well. Kunal mentioned that he initially started testing his writing abilities with Madgaon Express. Little did he anticipate that this experiment would eventually transform into a full-fledged feature film, offering him the chance to take on the director role. The actor revealed, “I never imagined that this would turn into a movie. Initially, it was simply a way for me to practice and see if I could write. I worked on it in solitude, without anyone knowing. I even thought I might play one of the characters if it ever came to fruition. That was my original intention when I wrote it.”
