Lubber Pandhu, an upcoming Tail Film, has locked its OTT partner even before its theatrical release. The film stars Harish Kalyan and Attakathi Dinesh in the lead roles, and it is all set to arrive in theaters on September 20, 2024. Sometimes the digital deals of the films will take much more time than expected as the negotiations between the makers and streaming platforms do not work according to the plans. However, that is not the case with Lubber Pandhu, as it is confirmed that the film will be available to stream on Disney+Hotstar after its theatrical run.
Made as a family drama with cricket sport as a backdrop, Lubber Pandhu is directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, who is making his directorial debut with this film. The film also has Swaswika and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy as the family leads. As said above, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on this Friday (September 20), and the latest reports confirm that one of the major online platforms, Disney+Hotstar, has bought the post-theater rights of the film.
Lubber Pandhu’s music has been composed by Sean Roldan, and Dinesh Purushothaman handled the camera, with G. Madan taking the job of an editor. The film is set against the backdrop of the Trichy of Tamilnadu, and it has street cricket as one of the important elements in the film. Tamizharasan Pachamuthu is the fan of late actor and politician Vijayakanth, and the film will have a few references to him, and Attakathi Dinesh, one of the lead actors in the film, will be seen as the fan of Vijayakanth.
