A Kannada movie that was released in theaters in October of the previous year is now making its way onto an OTT platform. Love, a romantic drama helmed by Mahesha C Ammalidoddy and starring newcomers Prajay Jayram and Vrusha Patil, will soon be available on Namma Flix. This film, which revolves around an interfaith love story, is set to start streaming on the platform on April 19th. Upon its release, Love garnered relatively favorable reviews for the cast’s performances, solid storytelling, and cinematography, among other aspects. Authored by Mahesha, Love is inspired by a true story depicting the love story between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl, which is controversially referred to as Love Jihad.
Prajay Jayram portrays the character of Swastik, who develops romantic feelings for Zoya, played by Vrusha Patil. Despite their different backgrounds and the potential conflicts that may arise, the couple decides to pursue a relationship. As anticipated, their families express opposition, and then one day, Zoya mysteriously disappears. Is her family involved in her sudden disappearance? These intriguing events and more are all part of Mahesha’s captivating narrative. The movie was filmed in various places, such as Coorg, Bengaluru, Udupi, and Kundapura. The cinematographer, Siddarth HR, received much acclaim for his camera work.
