Love Li: Vasishta Simha’s Romantic Drama is now Streaming on OTT

Love Li is a film that generated considerable enthusiasm for Vasishta N Simha, although he remained discreet regarding the storyline. He characterized the script as one he immediately adored. His dedication to the project was evident as he continued to work on it despite the demands of his wedding preparations, even enlisting his wife, actress Hariprriya, to provide vocals for the film.

The thrilling romantic drama featuring Vasishta in the lead role premiered in theaters in mid-June; however, it achieved little success at the box office. Nearly two months later, the film has transitioned to an OTT platform. In line with the trend observed with many other Kannada films, Love Li was released on a streaming service without prior announcement. As of August 7, 2024, Love Li can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. Chetan Keshav, a first-time writer and director, presents Love Li, featuring Vasishta in the role of Jai, a former gangster whose life is transformed by his relationship with Janani, portrayed by Stefy Patel. The couple enjoys a tranquil domestic life with their young daughter, but their happiness is shattered when Janani receives a diagnosis of a severe and possibly fatal illness. As Jai dedicates himself to her treatment, he comes to the unsettling realization that her health problems stem from the actions of another, prompting him to seek vengeance.

Although Love Li features a commendable blend of romance, action, and drama, it received negative reviews for lacking substantial content, except for Vasishta’s sincere performance. The film also stars Dattanna, Sadhu Kokila, Malavika Avinash, Suraj, Sameeksha, and child actress Vanshika. In the realm of Kannada cinema, Vasishta was most recently seen in Yadha Yadha Hi, a remake of the Telugu film Evaru, during which it was disclosed that he was in a relationship with his co-star Hariprriya, whom he married shortly after that. He is set to appear next in the prequel to Shivarajkumar’s Mufti, titled Bhairathi Ranagal, which is scheduled for theatrical release in September.
