Malhar Thakar, the actor and producer of the movie Lagan Special, is set to release the film on OTT in February. The platform has obtained the movie’s OTT rights, and Lagan Special will be available for streaming on ShemarooMe and OTTplay Premium starting June 6 in the afternoon, approximately between 11 am and 12 pm.
Directed by Rahul Bhole and Vinit Kanojia, Lagan Special features Malhar Thakar, Puja Joshi, and Mitra Gadhvi in the main roles. This marks the third collaboration between Malhar and Puja, following Chhello Divas and Love Ni Bhavai. The screenplay, written by Suraj Baraliya, also includes Firoz Irani, Nijal Modi, Ragi Jani, Kalpana Gagdekar, Archan Trivedi, Vaibhavi Bhatt, Rupa Mehta, Ujjval Dave, Vaibhav Biniwale, Paurav Shah, RJ Hiren Barot, Vishwa Joshi, RJ Kunal, and RJ Mayank in significant roles. Panorama Studios is responsible for the distribution of the film. The film’s music was composed by Rahul Munjariya, with lyrics written by Milind Gadhvi and Nandan Purohit. Lagan Special was filmed in different locations across Gujarat, with the majority of the storyline focusing on a wedding scenario. Shekhar (Malhar) and Suman (Puja) are on the verge of entering into an arranged marriage. However, things take a turn when Suman overhears Shekhar confessing to someone that he does not have feelings for her. As a result, the wedding is canceled, leading to ongoing disputes between the two families. Shekhar is determined to reconcile with Suman and resolve the misunderstanding.
