Khel Khel Mein Director Mudassar Aziz talks about the film’s failure at the box office

It is widely known that Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein was released on this Independence Day alongside Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2, and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Stree 2 became a massive money spinner at the box office, while Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa could not even gather minimal numbers. Khel Khel Mein’s director, Mudassar Aziz, reflected his thoughts on the box office performance of the film in a recent interview.

Aziz said that he was affected by the film’s result, but he will see the good side of it. He mentioned films like Kantara and Pushpa: The Rise did not open with big numbers but went on to become super duper hits at the box office. Khel Khel Mein gathered a meager number of 26 crore net in India till now. The filmmaker stated that the result was shocking but added that it depends on how you react to difficult situations and learn good things from them. He also said that the dynamics of films’ box office performance have changed over time.

Besides Akshay Kumar, Khel Khel Mein also stars an ensemble cast that includes Fardeen Khan, Tapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk, and others.
