The film tells the story of Sachin Tichkule (Akshay Kumar), a contractor facing challenging circumstances in the movie. Struggling to navigate the corrupt local bureaucracy, he also finds himself at odds with his family and ex-girlfriend. Consequently, he encounters numerous difficulties and drifts apart from his loved ones. However, as he begins to transform his ways, he is unexpectedly confronted by the authorities. Sachin Tichkule, the determined yet stubborn road contractor from Satara, manages to conquer various hurdles in his life. Opting to take legal action against the Municipal Corporation for withholding his payment, he is taken aback when he discovers that the new municipal commissioner is none other than his former girlfriend, Trisha. As Sachin contemplates defending his rights, he encounters a series of trials, such as family issues, the hostility of his ex-girlfriend, his sister’s wedding, and the relentless pursuit of a malicious, corrupt politician. Trisha previously mentioned her Bollywood debut in Khatta Meetha, stating that she has no regrets as it was a small step in Bollywood, and she wouldn’t have received a better opportunity. She also mentioned that some people needed to be convinced of her ability to play the commissioner role on screen, as it is typically portrayed by someone older. She acknowledged that taking on this role was a risk, as it was something new for her despite her experience in various roles, including those in the South.
