Suriya and Jyothika are collaborating on the production of Karthi’s latest film, directed by C Prem Kumar, known for the musical hit 96. Arvind Swami has been cast in the second lead role alongside Karthi in this movie, which was officially announced today, along with its Tamil title and first look.
The Tamil version of the film has the title “Meiyazhagan,” which symbolizes the friendship between the two main characters. The names of the lead actors are Meiy and Azhagan. In the first look poster, Arvind Swamy can be seen riding a bicycle with Karthi sitting behind him, and both are smiling. It appears that they will portray the roles of close friends in the movie. The Telugu version of the movie will soon have its title and first look announced by the makers. Sri Divya is the lead actress in this film, with Mahendiran Jayaraju as the lensman and Govind Vasantha as the music composer.
Karthi, who was last seen in Japan, is scheduled to star in Nalan Kumarasamy’s forthcoming drama Va Vaathiyar. The OTT rights for the film have recently been secured by Amazon Prime Video. Along with Va Vaathiyar, Karthi is also gearing up for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi 2, which is still in pre-production. Additionally, he has follow-ups to his other films, like Sardar 2 and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru 2 (Khakee 2), in the works.
