Kareena Kapoor talks about Singham Again

Kareena Kapoor Khan started off 2024 on a positive note with Crew. Premiered in March, the movie was a major success of the year. The storyline follows Kareena, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon as flight attendants trying to rescue their financially troubled airline by participating in a gold smuggling operation to a fictional Middle Eastern country. Producers Ektaa R. and Rhea Kapoor are considering a potential sequel.

In a recent interview with Variety, Kareena shared her conviction that Crew deserves a sequel. She presented a delightful and invigorating perspective on powerful female characters who fearlessly fought for their beliefs and utilized their intelligence to bring about change. The movie was purely entertaining and did not aim to convey any specific message. According to the actor, women, families, and individuals embraced and supported the film, which she believes contributed to its success. Kareena characterizes Singham Again as a film dominated by male testosterone, set in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe alongside Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Tiger Shroff. She added that both she and Deepika Padukone have significant roles in the movie. The actor expressed her belief that audiences will find it enjoyable, considering it to be the most crucial Bollywood spectacle of the year and promisingly unique.

Furthermore, Kareena will be seen in the lead role in Hansal Mehta’s upcoming film, The Buckingham Murders. Portraying the character of a mother and investigator, she embarks on a quest to unravel the mystery behind the murder of a 10-year-old in Buckinghamshire, driven by the tragic loss of her own child. While the official release date for the movie is yet to be announced, it had its premiere at MAMI 2023. Notably, Kareena’s previous venture, the Netflix original film Jaane Jaan, was a massive success, topping the streaming platform’s global non-English film chart and reaching the tenth position in 52 countries.
