“Kannappa” Not Backing Down

Manchu Vishnu is gearing up for his prestigious project, “Kannappa,” a film based on the ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film is currently in the midst of its shooting schedule. The production is heavily reliant on VFX, which has contributed to some uncertainty about its release date.

“Kannappa” has generated significant buzz with the involvement of industry stalwarts like Prabhas, Mohanlal, Sivaraj Kumar, and Akshay Kumar in pivotal roles. Prabhas is set to portray Lord Shiva, and the recent teaser, featuring a brief glimpse of his look, has particularly captivated audiences.

Initially, “Kannappa” was slated for a December 2024 release. However, with Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2” being postponed from August 15th to December, there were speculations that “Kannappa” might withdraw from the competitive release window. Despite this, Manchu Vishnu has affirmed that they are committed to the December release, confirming their intent to stay in the race.
