Kalki 2898 AD: The sequel for Prabhas – Nag Ashwin’s Film to start in 2025

Since Kalki 2898 AD got released in theaters worldwide on June 27th and achieved such major success at the box office, the fans are eagerly waiting for the film’s sequel. After a longtime wait from everyone, the makers of the film provided an update of Kalki’s sequel. The film’s producer, Swapna Dutt, gave the much-awaited update of the sequel and said that the shoot for the film will start in 2025.

It is widely known that Kalki had a huge ensemble cast. Besides Prabhas, the film had Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in crucial roles. Set against the dystopian backdrop, along with a mix of the epic Mahabharta, Kalki ended on a cliffhanger note where Prabhas’s character is shown as the reincarnation of Karna. It is obvious that Nag Ashwin and his team will explore the connection of the Mahabharata, and reportedly, Kamal Haasan’s character will also gain more prominence in this part. Recently, the producer of Kalki, Swapna Dutt, informed us that the Kalki 2898 AD sequel will start the shoot in 2025, either in January or February.

The shooting and all the other works will reportedly take 3 years to complete, setting up for a release in 2028. While the fans of Prabhas are happy that the sequel’s update has finally arrived, a section of netizens are disappointed that they will have to wait for nearly 4 years to watch the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD.
