Joy is the feature film about the first test tube baby in the world, Louise Joy Brown. The first test tube baby is the result of a relentless 10-year journey and trials along with tribulations by a British trio. The Joy movie stands as the on-screen adaptation of this breakthrough in infertility treatment, which provided the joy of parenthood for the childless couples.
Ben Taylor is the director of Joy, which narrates the tale of the first test tube baby, which is a result of tireless research by a surgeon, scientist, and embryologist. The screenplay for the film has been provided by Jack Thorne, who also wrote the story with his wife Rachel Mason, Emma Gordon, and Shaun Topp. Joy stars Bill Nighty, James Norton, Thomasin Mckenzie, and Patrick Steptoe in crucial roles, and the film will be available for online streaming from November 22, 2024.
Joy’s trailer was released recently, and it received a superb response. Set in the backdrop against the 60s and 70s, featuring the human trials and the birth of baby Louise Joy Brown. The film will also have a premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 15, followed by a limited UK theatrical release on November 15, and then it will finally arrive at Netflix on 22/2024 for worldwide online streaming.
