John Abraham’s latest action drama, Vedaa was released in theaters worldwide on August 15th. Though the film got mixed reviews, it had a fairly decent day at the box office on its first day. However, the film saw continuous drops in numbers from the second day and never picked up after that. Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 were also released alongside Vedaa. While Stree 2 became a massive blockbuster, KKM and Vedaa turned out to be big failures at the box office.
In a recent interview, John Abraham spoke about how he sees the film’s result. John mentioned that though he and his team made the film entertainingly, Vedaa’s subject was heavy for the audiences. John Abraham stated that he respects audience choice, but he is proud of his film. He further appreciated everyone on the team of Vedaa, while accepting that people will feel bad when their films do not work at the box office.
Vedaa has collected around 19 Crores net at the domestic box office. Directed by Nikhil Advani, Vedaa also stars Sharvari, Abhishek Banerjee, and Ashish Vidyarthi in. crucial roles. As said above, Vedaa was affected by the outstanding performance of Stree 2 in Cinemas. The trade experts felt that Vedaa could have had a better run at the theaters if it was released on another date without competition.
