Jigra is the upcoming action drama starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role. The film is carrying a good craze among audiences and trade as well. Except Stree 2, Bollywood did not have many big hits this year, and everyone is hoping Jigra will provide the much-needed boost to the box office. The trailer for the film was released last week, and it received a superb response from audiences. Alia Bhatt and Vedanga Raina star as siblings in Jigra, and their chemistry in the film’s teaser and trailer was amazing.
Jigra is scheduled to be released in theaters worldwide on October 11, 2024. Made as an action thriller, the film focuses on the lives of Ankur (Vedang Raina) and his sister Satya (Alia Bhatt). Ankur is imprisoned and sentenced to death in a foreign country, and Satya sets out on a mission to save him at any cost, and she pledges to go to any extent. The film’s teaser and trailer showcased the action parts along with the emotional touch. We can also see that Alia’s character is portrayed as a tough girl who has gone through a lot since her childhood, and she is strong enough to confront anyone while attempting to free her brother from prison. Reportedly, the digital rights of the film have been bagged by the OTT giant, Netflic, but the official confirmation regarding the same is yet to be made.
Besides Alia Bhatt and Vedanga Raina in the lead roles, Jigra also stars Jason Shah, Manoj Pahwa, Aditya Nanda, and Yuvraj Vijan in other crucial roles. The film is directed by Vasant Balan and co-produced by Karan Johar along with Alia under the banner of her production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions. Debashish Irengbam and Vasan Bala have written the film.
