Jaladhara Pumpset 1962 is now out on OTT. The Malayalam film has made its digital debut after a year from its theatrical release. Made as a satirical comedy drama, the film stars well-known actors of Mollywood like Urvashi and Indrans in the lead roles. The film started streaming on Jio Cinema this morning, i.e., September 15, 2024.
The film was released in theaters on August 11, 2023, and did not have a great run at the theaters. Jaladhara Pumpset 1962 tried to look at the long-lasting court cases in India with a humorous take. Though the film was not successful at the box office, it was appreciated for its honest theme, narration, and excellent performances. The Malayali audiences were eagerly waiting for the film’s OTT release, as many missed the chance to watch it on the big screen. Now, they will be happy as finally the film started to stream on OTT via Jio Cinema.
Jaladhara Pumpset 1962 tells the story of Mrinalini, a teacher, and a legal issue she is facing. The case gets dragged for years without any solution. Mrinalini wants to chase the thief who stole her water pump. The narration shows the lawful battle between a retired school teacher and a local thief with a lighthearted approach. Ashish Chinnappa is the director of the movie, which has Urvashi and Indrans as the leads with TG Ravi, Nisha Sarang, Sanusha, Johny Antiny, and Sagar in the supporting roles.
