Senior YSR Congress leader Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi on Tuesday said that chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has the blessings of late N T Rama Rao. Paying rich tributes to late NTR on his birth anniversary, Lakshmi Parvathi said that NTR’s welfare regime is now being continued by Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Lakshmi Parvathi visited the memorial of late NTR in Hyderabad and paid tributes. She recalled how NTR introduced welfare schemes during his regime. She said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was continuing them. She expressed confidence that Jagan Mohan Reddy would win this election for another term.
She asserted that people of Andhra Pradesh have voted for the welfare government. She further said that the large turnout of the people at the polling stations on May 13 indicates that they have given their vote to Jagan to continue the welfare programmes.
Jagan Mohan Reddy would take oath for the second term after June 4, Lakshmi Parvathi asserted. She claimed that people of Andhra Pradesh wanted Jagan Mohan Reddy to continue in power and expressed confidence that this time the YSR Congress would get more seats that what it had won in 2019.
She asserted that people were not in favour of Chandrababu Naidu, who betrayed them every time he won as the chief minister. In 2014 also he betrayed the farmers, self-help group women and the weavers. She said that Chandrababu Naidu had promised total loan waiver and had betrayed them.
On the contrary, Jagan Mohan Reddy had fulfilled 99 per cent of the election promises. He gave pensions to the aged and disabled at their doorstep, she said. She also complimented Jagan Mohan Reddy for focusing on development and infrastructure provision in the government schools and hospitals across the state under Nadu-Nedu programme.
