Indian 3: Shankar talks about the tentative release date and the surprise for audiences in Part 2

With only one day remaining until the premiere of Indian 2, the highly awaited sequel to the 1996 Tamil film Indian, director Shankar, who is currently engaged in promoting the movie throughout India, has disclosed a significant development regarding the third installment. Indian 2 producers have disclosed that Indian 3 is already in the works, with a large portion of the film already filmed. Indian 2 is slated for a theatrical release on July 12th.

Starring Kamal Haasan, Indian 2 is directed by Shankar. Kamal Haasan is set to portray Senapathy once again, a character of a former freedom fighter on a mission to eradicate corruption from society. Shankar mentioned during a recent press conference that the Indian 3 movie could potentially be released within six months if everything goes smoothly, especially with the VFX work. Additionally, he revealed that the trailer for Indian 3 will be shown at the conclusion of Indian 2. The star-studded cast of Indian 2 includes actors such as Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, Vennela Kishore, and Deepa Shankar, among others. Lyca Productions are producing the film.

The storyline revolves around Senapathy’s internal conflict when he discovers his son’s involvement in bribery and corruption. Despite this, he chooses to uphold his principles and ultimately takes the drastic step of killing his son when he refuses to mend his ways.
