Indian 2: Netizens Troll Siddharth after the Film’s Disastrous Result

Shankar, the Tamil director, once a prominent figure in the South Indian film industry, has recently produced a major flop with ‘Indian 2.’ This film, a sequel to the successful ‘Indian’ released in 1996, has not only tarnished its own reputation but also that of the director. Following a disappointing weekend, ‘Indian 2’ witnessed a sharp decline on its first weekday, with a massive 70% drop from Sunday. By the fourth day, the movie only managed to achieve a single-digit gross worldwide, indicating a shocking and disastrous performance.

Typically, in such situations, the director bears the brunt of criticism or online harassment. However, all the negativity is aimed at Siddharth in this particular instance. This is due to his ‘ Overactive behavior’ during the Tamil and Telugu promotions of “Indian 2,” which did not sit well with the audience. He is facing severe backlash through these videos. Setting aside these criticisms, there is not a single instance where he has delivered an exceptional performance, despite his demeanor and body language leading up to the film’s release. Social media does not tolerate such arrogance, and Siddharth, who has not seen much success, behaves in a manner that even a top hero would not.

Recently, he mentioned, “I dedicated the past two decades to praising Boys, and I plan to dedicate the next twenty years to discussing Indian 2.” With Indian Two no longer in the picture, he is left with only Boys to boast about, a film released two decades ago. Consequently, he has now become a more prominent target on social media than Shankar. Based on the critical comments being made, it is likely that he will come to rue his decisions.
