Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali, the latest love story from the Kannada film industry, seems to have found its OTT partner. Released in theaters on September 5, 2024, the film received majorly positive reviews, and though the box office numbers were low on the opening day, the collections grew gradually because of the positive talk from reviewers and audiences. The film is still running in theaters, and the news regarding its OTT partner and release date has gained strength in recent days.
At first, it was reported that the ZEE network would buy the digital rights of Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali, but the latest reports suggest that the popular digital platform, Prime Video, came forward to bag the streaming rights of the film. As of now, the OTT release date has not been announced by the makers, or the streaming platform.
Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali marks the directorial debut of Chandrajith Belliappa, and it was produced by actor/filmmaker Rakshit Shetty under his own production house, Paramvah Studio. The film tells the story of Sid, who leaves Radha, his would-be wife, and sets up on a mission to find Anahita, his past love with whom he lost contact over a decade ago. The film’s music has been composed by Gagan Baderiya, and the film also marks the re-entry of Girija Shettar, who was last seen in Geethanjali (1989) and played the character of the heroine’s mother in Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali.
