I will take oath in Vizag after June 4, says Jagan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi whether the National Democratic Alliance can guarantee Special Category Status to the state while addressing the election campaign in Gajuwaka on Tuesday. “PM Modi blamed Chandrababu Naidu in the previous elections for turning Polavaram into an ATM. Interestingly, the very Prime Minister who called Chandrababu, highly corrupt is now praising him because of their alliance with the TDP. It is for people to reflect on the depth of political maneuvering and the extent to which allegiances shift according to circumstances,” said Jagan. “If you vote for NDA and TDP, they will privatize the Vizag Steel Plant, and if you do not want that to happen, vote for YSRCP,” said Jagan.

Jagan has said TDP Chief Chandrababu sought help in Delhi through his sister-in-law(BJP Chief) to stop the ongoing welfare distribution in the state during the election campaign meeting at Rajanagaram in East Godavari. “Chandrababu Naidu often says he was chief minister for 14 years, but if you mention his name, will any poor person remember the one scheme he implemented? He made various promises before the election, but due to the non-implementation of the manifesto, farmers, unemployed, sisters, and social groups, farmers all broke Chandrababu’s bicycle piece by piece and threw it aside (referring to his 2019 debacle in polls),” said Jagan. “Now TDP, with the help of Delhi, stalling the distribution of DBT financial assistance on ongoing welfare schemes of the state like pensions, and input subsidy, among others,” said Jagan.

“You are all witnessing the drama orchestrated by Chandrababu Naidu. The public elects a government, which rules the state for five years. But Chandrababu Naidu, with the help of Delhi, stirred up major controversies to inflict suffering on the people, leading a chief minister to engage in legal battles. This marks a new low in democracy,” said Jagan. “For the past 5 years, people have been receiving pensions at the doorstep and because of Chandrababu Naidu, people are running pillar to post to collect the assistance,” said Jagan. “Over the past 59 months, we have devised a welfare calendar that outlines scheme distributions each month, ensuring promises are fulfilled on time and YSRCP will come back to power on June 4th and within a week, will expedite all scheme distributions,” asserted Jagan.

“Kurukshetra war is going to happen in six days. If you vote for Jagan in this election, all the schemes will continue. If you vote for Chandrababu, it will be the end of the schemes. The upcoming election is not to elect MPs and MLAs but for continuation of the welfare schemes,” said Jagan. “We have deposited directly over Rs.2.70 lakh crores directly to the beneficiaries of welfare schemes without discrimination or bribes. When YSRCP came to power in 2019, there were 4 lakh jobs in the state but in the last 59 months, we have added 2.31 lakh jobs in the state. Further, we have implemented 99 % of poll promises,” said Jagan. Explaining the schemes implemented in the Education sector, Jagan said, “We have renovated schools and introduced English medium with bilingual textbooks, digital teaching in every classroom from 6th standard, Tabs for 8th standard students, TOEFL classes, and IB curriculum amongst others.”

He also listed out other welfare schemes implemented by YSRCP like Asara, Sunnavaddi, Cheyutha, Kapu Nestam, EBC Nestam which empowered the people along with the distribution of 31 lakh house titles deeds and out of which 22 lakh houses are under construction. From Rs.3000 pension, delivery of services at the doorstep, farmer assurance, free crop insurance, input subsidy to quality free electricity for 9 hours during the day, RBK system to help farmers, no other government in the past have hand-hold the farmers like YSRCP, said Jagan. Noting that the YSRCP government stands for self-employment unlike the previous administration, Jagan said, “We have supported auto and taxi drivers under Vahana Mitra, fishermen, small traders, lawyers amongst others.”

Explaining the schemes implemented in the Health Sector, CM Jagan said, “No poor person should get into debt in terms of medical needs and the government has implemented free Arogyashri health insurance with a limit of Rs 25 lakhs, Arogya Asara for post-surgery needs, village clinics, family doctor concept to help the people at their doorstep.” The Chief Minister also showcased the failed promises of Chandrababu and TDP’s 2014 manifesto pamphlet and asked the crowd whether he implemented any of the mentioned promises. “He promised farm loan waiver of Rs.87,612 crore, waiving of saving society loans worth Rs.14,205 crore, Rs 25,000 deposit if a girl child is born in the state under Mahalakshmi scheme. He didn’t deposit even a single rupee.” “Unemployment benefit of Rs. 2,000 per month was the promise he gave to every household. Did he give Rs.1.20 lakh to each house at the rate of Rs.2 thousand per month for 5 years?” asked Jagan.

“Special Category Status for Andhra, 3 cents of land for eligible people, BC sub plan with Rs. 10,000 crores, waive of the loans of handloom and power loom weavers, Women Protection Force, develop the state beyond Singapore, hi-tech city in every district but not even single scheme was implemented by Chandrababu Naid,” said Jagan. “But again, Chandrababu is back with Super Six promises. Do you believe it?” asked CM Jagan while asking the people to vote for the YSRCP Fan symbol. What is happening in the state today is not a war between castes, but a class war said CM Jagan while asking the people to vote for YSRCP to win all 175 assembly seats and 25 MP seats.
