With exceptional bookings, Ghilli achieved a remarkable opening day gross of INR 8 crore, setting an unprecedented record for re-releases. Its success continued on the second and third days, surpassing the INR 20 crore milestone at the worldwide box office.
This re-release of Ghilli has resulted in the highest collections to date. It has been declared that Vijay will be stepping away from acting to concentrate on politics. Essentially, these upcoming years will mark the end of his acting journey. His next project will be Venkat Prabhu’s sci-fi action thriller, The Greatest of All Time. The film Ghilli maintained a steady performance throughout the weekdays, experiencing only slight daily declines. Because of the impact of Rathnam’s release on its screenings, collections saw a slight decrease yesterday. However, the film has secured many screens for its second week, surpassing expectations for a re-release.
