Fighter 1st Report: Average: The film begins strongly, introducing the antagonist and setting the stage for significant conflicts between India and Pakistan. Hrithik Roshan, portraying Squadron Leader, leads a team that includes Deepika Padukone. The Aerial action sequences are well-shot with excellent sound mixing, and the production values are spot-on.
However, the film lacks a bit in patriotism, taking away some intensity from the war narrative. The on-screen chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone is appealing, yet a more compelling love story could have added intrigue. The Interval shot effectively sets the tone for a massive war, with Hrithik Roshan on a mission to fight.
Fighter 2nd Report: Good: It’s an excellent watch for sure. The drama surrounding the rescue mission builds up to a grand spectacle of aerial action sequences, culminating in a face-off between the protagonist and antagonist. This sets the right tone, providing a perfect example of patriotism showcased with guaranteed goosebumps moments.
After watching the first half, I initially felt that Kangana Ranaut’s Tejas was better in terms of patriotism showcased on screen; however, the graph for Fighter picks up well in the later half, setting the right tone and ending in a massive way.
Hrithik Roshan’s performance was standout and exceptional. His portrayal of Squadron Leader was massive, and the way his cutout and body language matched the script gave us goosebumps throughout the film.
