Episode 3 Review – House of the Dragon Season 2

“The show regains its former glory”

We love Game of Thrones. The reason behind it, of course, is the drama more than the war. Specifically, the dialogues that get twisted between each character’s conversations draw us in, making each scene a nail-biting clip. This element has been missing in House of the Dragon Season 2 so far, but gear up people! Episode 3 has brought back its lost glory, turning out to be a terrific episode.

The episode starts with Rhaenys Targaryen setting up a meeting with Rhaenyra and asking her to speak with her old friend Alicent to stop the massacre. While this plot unfolds, Daemon takes over Harrenhal in an old-fashioned way. The sarcastic touch to the dialogues makes it very interesting. The cameo of Milly Alcock gives us a goosebumps moment.

I have always loved the conversations between Cersei Lannister and Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones, and now I get the same vibes whenever I see Rhaenyra and Mysaria together. The depth of the meaningful dialogues with a sarcastic touch makes the drama go into full mode.

Rhaenyra and Alicent’s much-awaited face-off finally happens, bringing to light the true meaning of Season 1’s finale about who takes the crown. The episode ends with an intense background score.
