Elections Update: Stars Cast their Vote across Telugu States

The voting process for the Andhra Pradesh Elections is currently in progress. It commenced at 7 AM earlier today. The prominent political parties have dedicated their utmost efforts to campaigning and mobilizing voters. Their current objective is to ensure a high voter turnout despite the challenging summer weather conditions. In 2019, voter turnout was recorded at 80.39%, and it remains to be seen whether this year’s turnout will surpass 85%.

Chandrababu Naidu represents Kuppam; YS Jagan Mohan Reddy represents Pulivendula; Pawan Kalyan represents Pithapuram; Nara Lokesh represents Mangalagiri; and Nandamuri Balakrishna represents Hindupur; these constituencies are considered significant in terms of political influence. Several prominent Telugu film stars, such as Megastar Chiranjeevi, NTR, Allu Arjun, Rajamouli, K Raghavendra Rao, and others, made an early morning trip to their respective polling stations in Jubilee Hills to cast their votes. They fulfilled their civic duty and encouraged fellow citizens to exercise their right to vote. Pawan Kalyan and Nandamuri Balakrishna, who are contesting in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections from Pithapuram and Hindupur constituencies, respectively, cast their votes in Andhra Pradesh. Rajamouli, who had been in Dubai, made a quick return to Hyderabad to participate in the voting process.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad is currently facing the same recurring issue: the turnout for the ongoing MP polls remains comparatively low. As of 10:30 AM, voter participation in Hyderabad stands at 5.06 percent. To provide a comparison, Khammam has witnessed a turnout of 12.24 percent, Mahbubabad -11.94 percent, Mahbubnagar-10.33 percent, Medak-10.99 percent, and Nalgonda-12.80 percent. Secunderabad-5.40 percent, Warangal-8.97 percent, and Zaheerabad-12.88 percent.
