Dune Part Two is now available on OTT but with a twist

Dune: Part Two, directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring a diverse international cast, has finally arrived on OTT platforms after a successful theatrical run of nearly three months. However, it is important to note that not all subscribers have access to it. For those interested, the film can be rented on Prime Video for just Rs. 149. Originally released in theaters worldwide in March of this year, Dune: Part Two showcases the incredible talents of actors such as Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.

In Dune: Part Two, Paul Atreides teams up with Chani and the Fremen to embark on a legendary quest seeking revenge against the conspirators who caused his family’s downfall. Amidst this mission, he strives to prevent a dreadful future that only he can foresee, all while balancing his love life and the fate of the entire universe. In collaboration with Jon Spaihts, Denis Villeneuve adapted Frank Herbert’s novel Dune for the silver screen. The production credits include Patrick McCormick, Tanya Lapointe, Villeneuve, Cale Boyter, and Mary Parent. The executive producers are Josh Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert, and creative consultant Kevin J. Anderson is also involved. Once again, Hans Zimmer takes charge of composing the score.

Following its release in March, the Denis Villeneuve movie exceeded $500 million in box office revenue domestically and internationally, making it the top-grossing film of 2024. The film has now collected almost $665 million globally. Since its premiere, the movie has garnered widespread acclaim and unexpected financial triumph. Critics have overwhelmingly praised the film’s special effects and performances. Some critics have even placed it among the best science fiction films of all time. Villeneuve has expressed his desire to adapt the second book in the series, Dune Messiah, into a movie, but he has made it clear that this will depend on the success of Dune: Part Two at the box office.
